This may be a great gift, but I didn’t buy it for that. I actually got it to keep in my desk at work and for travel. It takes up no space but allows you to, basically, have an entire makeup drawer in one compact and at a cheap price.
The blush colors slide out of the bottom, the lip colors are above them and the eye shadows slide out sideways under a mirror that pivots from under the lid to the side.
The pigments in both the shadows and the blushes are heavy so that a little goes a long way and lasts a long time.
The blushes are a nice sampling regardless of your skin tone and, even though I don’t use dark blushes, it does allow me to use the darker colors for contouring…I brush a little beneath my cheekbones so they stand out with a lighter color on top.
Also, having the array of choices allows you to go from light day/work makeup to a night out straight from work when pressed for time if you want to go more dramatic in the evening. If not and you still like the same look each day, it still gives you variety in tones or tints of the colors…if you like browns, for example, you can switch it up from deep brown to a medium or light, or sometimes use a yellow-based highlight under your brown bone and sometimes a pinkish one. Only wear one color over your eyes every day without highlights and darker colors at the crease? Well, you certainly have your choice of colors!
I like to mix the glosses for my lips but there is a wide variety of colors even if you just want one.
Especially great for travel…Stick one compact in your bag and you don’t take up the whole tiny sink in a hotel or have to dig through bags for what you need.
Also great for a fancy evening out where you have a tiny “nice” clutch bag but still may wish to freshen up. It fits.
Negatives: If you want to use this every day, you are going to go through your colors quickly or if you only use the same colors everyday…these are small bits of of color samplings and it’s not like you can replace one color if that runs out and keep using the others…still, it’s a bargain and the colors are lasting and, for me, perfect for the work desk and travel.

I recently received this gorgeous makeup kit as a gift, and I spent tons of time experimenting with new “looks.” I usually stick with the natural looking shades of brown with shadows, but this Sephora kit gave me the opportunity to try out tons of different colors… And what a surprise! I can wear something other than the same-old-same-old. The compact with a built-in mirror is excellent, so you can have all your stash in one convenient place.
These products (so far) are all great. I am certain that I will purchase some of these new shades when shopping for cosmetics again, and it will definitely “liberate me” from that rut I find myself in while looking at all the racks of make-up in the mega-discount stores.
Don’t confuse this item with those no-name kits flooding the market! There are no ghastly Holloween shades here so you’ll get good use of everything.

I bought this set as part of a collection to do make up for my boudoir photography clients. There are many colors to choose from in eye shadows, lips, and blushes. More importantly, there is enough of each color that you don’t use it a few times and be practically out of a color.
It’s fairly well made, although I still find it clumsy to open and close. And two of the eyeshadows came out and I had to glue them back in. But the make up itself seems quite good and you cannot beat this price for what you get. I think it would make a GREAT gift for a teenager getting her first make up or, as others have said, to have a complete set to take on vacation or to keep in your desk.

I am a man and know nothing about make-up. I purchased this kit as a Xmas gift for someone. The lady who recieved it seemed to be very pleased by it. That is all I can tell you.
