   My eyeshadow almost always settles into the creases of my eyelids after a few hours of wear, even after priming my lids with Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Eye Rev-er Upper and Bare Escentuals Foundation Fair #1 9g. I was excited to try this product, but I was a little bit disappointed with it for three reasons. First, the applicator was a bit awkward at reaching the corners of my eyes. Second, the twist applicator made it a little bit difficult to control the amount of product dispensed. Since the applicator and dispenser are one and the same, this made it difficult to control the amount of product applied. Minor issues that could have been overlooked, I know, but it is the third reason that knocks the stars off: the color was a bit too dark and too brown to match my fair skin. It changed the color of my light-colored eyeshadow slightly, and I was worried that if my blue/grey eyeshadow wore away, the brown would be visible underneath. (My skin is really light; most people would not have this problem.)

   That said, it did help my eyeshadow stay put, and the creasing was minimal. I will continue to use it, but when it runs out, I don’t know if I will purchase it again.

   I purchased this product after reading all of the favorable reviews. I honestly wasn’t expecting much because I’ve tried other Bare Escentuals primer products and didn’t really care for them. But I thought I would give this a try because I do have a problem with eye makeup settling in the creases by the end of the day. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this product. My Bare Escentuals eye makeup stays firmly put throughout the entire day, just as if it was freshly applied. My boyfriend even made a comment at dinner last night about how nice my eye makeup looked. I wasn’t wearing anything different than usual, so my only conclusion is that this eyelid primer helps the makeup stay on longer. I also notice that when I apply my eye makeup, the color seems to have a deeper intensity, and the loose minerals don’t go flying around all over the place as much. Something in this eyelid primer holds the makeup to where it’s applied. I’ve fallen in love with this product and can’t believe I went so long without it. I don’t know how this stuff works, but it does!

   This has been the first and only primer I had ever used. I love it! But I thought I’d try something at the local store that was cheaper and I didn’t have to buy online. So I tried the L’oreal DE-CREASE and it was nothing like the Prime Time. It wasn’t as creamy and my makeup still creased. I’m sticking with BE on this one. It’s the best!

   This “Primer” as they call it is the best cover for the dark circles under your eyes as well as any discoloration on your eyelid. I’ve even used it to cover spots on other areas of my face. It is creamy, you only need a tiny bit on the area and it comes out really smooth and nice. I’m VERY picky and have never found anything,(I’ve tried a lot,) that works like this. It’s a little pricey for what you think you’re getting, but again because of the little amount needed at a time it lasts and works with that amount. It’s definetly worth it.
