I have been using this stuff for the past 2 years and I have found that Amazon is the best place to get it. It is cheaper for me on here than at local stores and availability isn’t always the best where I live either.

This is a pretty thick lip gloss and I love that it isn’t “sticky” like some of them. It has a very smooth, moisturizing finish to it. There is actually some oomph behind it and it stays on for quite a while. It is a pretty brown color with a silvery shimmer that compliments an olive complexion quite well. I also like the slight tingle it delivers. I will be very sad if they ever discontinue this stuff.

This “flavor” truly is different than the others; it has more texture and oomph, and for me, it’s better. The thickness of this particular formula suits me perfectly — stays on and protects my lips. In fact, I wear it at night as well, even though it’s marketed for daytime use, with its shimmer and flavor. I also wear it while I exercise, when there’s inclement weather (it has SPF and is great against the wind — again, the thickness has great purpose).

Sadly they’re not making it anymore — in the new line-up there is a similarly named “caramel” flavor — which I find to be especially greasy, more so than any other flavor I’ve tried (which is approximately all of them). I will probably buy one of these four-packs now that I’ve come across it here, but have pretty-well stocked up, with a supply to last me the next couple of years already preserved in my refrigerator. Now if only I could find a few more tubes of my favorite discontinued MAC lipstick. (sigh)

I have always loved Burt’s Bees products, but this one is just ‘eh’. I expected this to be a tinted lip gloss with a touch of shimmer, but it goes on thick (almost like a lip stick) and rather than shimmer, it made my lips look silver! What I do like about it is the refreshing peppermint tingle it gives my lips (which is why it gets 3 stars and not 2), so do wear it, but only in small doses and not by itself. When I wear it, I must apply another lip gloss over it to offset the silvery tint. This purchase won’t stop me from buying Burt’s Bees, but I will be more hesitate about buying any of these ’shimmer’ shades.
