Ok, let me start off by saying that I have awful skin! I am 25 with very sensitive skin, in the sense that the smallest bump would leave a scar. I have superficial deep scars and also red marks from past zits. I also have a lot of redness on my fair skin. I have tried every type of makeup possible, including the “great” mineral makeup. Mineral makeup would just make my scars more noticeable. I recently tried Make Up Forever’s HD makeup and it was expensive. I was hoping for it to work, but sadly it didnt work any better than any drugstore makeup. At the request of a friend, I decided to try this Revlon makeup. I didnt think it would really be that good, but at 12.00 a bottle, I didnt think it would hurt. Boy, was I surprised! It has GREAT coverage! It doesnt take a whole lot, and it looks so natural like you are not wearing makeup. Sure, it doesnt cover the scars completely, but let me tell you that you will not get a better coverage from any other makeup. I even tried Dermablend that was made just for scars. It didnt even do as well!

I bought this foundation in color shell, but Amazon sent me another color, vanilla. I have fair skin, but vanilla made me very pale, certainly the shell color would look best. I am, then mixing with another base on a darker tone.
I have very dilated pores and this base is accumulated in them. The solution is mixed with another base with more body, like Revlon’s Colorstay. It really brightens the skin, which pleases me greatly. And do not think flashy as many people say. It is oil free and very light. I love the Revlon’s foundations, then I expect more of this.

This makeup reminds me of Revlon’s Skinlights tinted moisturizer that I used to be addicted to (before they got discontinued:( It gives light flattering coverage with a youthful glow. I’m 26, and I’ve made due with Revlon’s ColorStay foundation when my favorite Skinlights went extinct. The truth is, lots of coverage makes me look older! The new PhotoReady gives the perfect amount of coverage- it doesn’t even look like I’m wearing makeup (just looks like I was born with flawless skin- ha!) PhotoReady is my new staple foundation (and if they ever discontinue it- I’ll hoard a gazillion bottles!)

The plus: the foundation spreads wonderfully and does not cake; the color is good (I bought the lightest shade).
The problems and why I am not using it and will not purchase again: it is shiny! my face looks as if I’m sweating; and it’s definitelt not for being photographed – because of the shine and because it has SPF that comes unnaturally in photos.

For the past several years, I have been using very minimal foundation or even no foundation. Recently, however, I had occasion to try this one, and I was surprised how much difference it made in how my skin looked. Coverage seemed pretty good, but NOT heavy. I really dislike a “heavy looking” foundation. However, after several years of not wearing it, I am now using foundation again!
I also liked the fact that is oil-free and fragrance-free.
